Get Stronger Together

The Bend Adult Climbing Team is a partnership between Boardworks and the Bend Endurance Academy.

Not A Tryout

BACT starts September 24th at 6:00 PM with our Not-A-Tryout kickoff event! This is a free way to try the team, meet the coaches, and see if the team is right for you.

Be a part of something.

Push your limits alongside like-minded climbers. The Bend Adult Climbing Team meets every Wednesday for 2 hours, combining structured training with the energy of a team environment. Our coaches design sessions to boost your strength, technique, and mental game.

Joining the BACT gives you access to expert-level coaching every week, and a built-in community of training partners. We work together to achieve our goals, whether you’re a new climber looking to improve, a veteran looking to break a plateau, or someone looking to excel in competitions.

What’s Included?

BACT Members get unlimited access to Boardworks and limited, exclusive access to the expert routesetting at the Bend Endurance Academy next door.

The team meets every Tuesday from 6pm-8pm. Each practice will be lead by an expert coach who will be creating training plans to push team members to the next level.

Practices will vary, improving endurance, technique, power, and off-the-wall training.

Head Coach Ludo

Ludo’s passion for climbing began in an unlikely place: New Orleans, LA. With the closest climbing areas more than 8 hours away and one climbing gym in the city, it isn't exactly what you’d call a climbing mecca. This didn't stop him from pursuing his passion.

After two years of climbing, he was accepted into The Climbing Academy, a traveling high school for gifted young athletes, in which half the time is dedicated to education, while the other half is spent climbing world-class rock. During his time there Ludo traveled the world visiting incredible outdoor climbing locations.

After graduating he made the only logical choice a young driven climber can make and moved into his Chevy Van to continue his rock education. Three years, and hundreds of climbs later, Ludo dived back into the climbing industry and began his coaching and route-setting career. First at Bend Rock Gym, then BEA, and now Boardworks, as well as his own private training company SESSION.

Training with Ludo doesn't just mean gnarly workouts. Ludo knows that our mind is the most important tool we have in climbing. If you want to dial in your technical skill, mental strength, physical ability, and outdoor climbing strategies, Ludo will help you reach your goals.
