Group Training

Beginners’ Climbing Night

Mondays 6:30-8:30 PM /First Time Free

Interested in learning more about climbing technique and training? This is the group for you! This class centers around accessible workouts to increase strength and technique and will teach you how to structure your workouts outside of class.

Women & Queers Training Night

Thursdays 6:00-8:00 PM /First Time Free

This 2-hour drop-in style group fitness class will run through on and off the wall workouts to increase power, strength and technique. Train, climb, and socialize with the Boardworks’ community.

Bend Adult Climbing Team

Push your limits alongside like-minded climbers. BACT meets every Tuesday for 2 hours, combining structured training with the energy of a team environment. Our coaches design sessions to boost your strength, technique, and mental game.

Team membership includes limited exclusive access to Bend Endurance Academy, maximizing your training potential. Whether you're aiming to crush your first V5 or break into double-digit boulders, BACT provides the tools, motivation, and facilities to get you there. Join us, set goals, and watch your climbing transform.

Lily Kral
She/Her

One-on-One

Adult Team

With over 20 years of climbing experience and a decade in professional routesetting, Lily brings technical expertise and innovative vision to Boardworks. Her passion for board climbing as a training tool led her to create the world's first all-board climbing gym. Lily's coaching emphasizes both technical skills and power development, helping climbers of all levels push their limits and unlock their full potential on the wall.

Trevor Roosen
He/Him

One-on-One

With over two decades of climbing experience, Trevor brings a wealth of knowledge to Boardworks' coaching team. As a top professional route setter, he's designed climbs for Olympians and recreational climbers alike, honing an deep understanding of movement and problem-solving on the wall. Trevor's coaching philosophy emphasizes climbing as a tool for personal growth, resilience, and self-discovery. 

Cate Beebe
She/Her

One-on-One

Cate has been climbing since 2015, and started routesetting just after that. She's in love with climbing movement, and wants to pass that excitement along to everyone she works with. Cate has coached all levels of climbers, from adult beginners and recreational indoor climbers, through Nationals athletes and outdoor climbers. USAC L2 Coach, AMGA CWI, USAC L2 Routesetter, Director of Climbing Programs at BEA.

Sienna “Shep” Shepard

Shep is a climbing coach with 20 years of climbing experience including youth coaching, route setting, and product design for climbing. Passionate about fostering more diversity in climbing, they co-lead our Women’s and Queer Folk Training Night. Shep is a boulderer at heart with a special love for Smith Rock and long trad routes. Having developed powerful climbing over years of training, Shep loves researching training science and helping folks learn to love training their weaknesses.

Ludo Scarpulla
He/Him

Ludo is a bouldering specialist with over eight years of climbing experience under his belt, and during that time he has been getting around to some of the most incredible climbing locations in the world. Hailing from the South, Ludo recently moved to Bend where he began his coaching (and routesetting) career, first at Bend Rock Gym, then Bend Endurance Academy, and now Boardworks. If you want to work on improving your mental game, taking care of your body, and pushing your limits on rock Ludo is ready to help you reach your goals.

Cameron Daniel

One-on-One

Cameron is a routesetter, climbing coach and general outdoor enthusiast. He started as a sport climber at Smith Rock, but is now primarily focused on bouldering. He love breaking down and analyzing movement, whether on an outdoor project, board climb, or competition climb. His favorite climbing destinations are Squamish and Red Rocks and he loves overhung boulders with lots of body tension and compression.
